PolyUX is a practical one-day design thinking workshop that helps attendees design an engagement process with their Māori and Pacific stakeholders. Led by facilitator Iulia Leilua, it goes beyond cultural competency training to teach people how to overturn cultural communications barriers.
Using The Culture and Design Lab’s indigenous lean canvas and sorting cards, PolyUX helps HR managers, DEI professionals and training and development leaders identify cultural challenges and an action plan.
The sorting cards help cut through the sensitivities of discussing cultural competence and systemic racism and are good conversation starters.
At the end of our PolyUX session, participants will come out with a 3, 6 and 12 month customised plan of action. Going forward, they will be better able to manage barriers and risks and be more culturally responsive.

"I like the interactive elements. Good thought-provoking material with practical application in the pre-online course so I already feel like this has been useful and I haven't even done the face to face course yet!"
